BLACK SABBATH fans want Ozzy Osbourne to take to the stage when the historic Birmingham pub where the legendary heavy metal band played their first gig reopens

According to The Birmingham Mail, the Crown Pub, located at the corner of Hill and Station Streets in Birmingham, England, was at one time an iconic music venue, boasting such names as STATUS QUO, UB40 and LED ZEPPELIN as it’s performers.

Although it is currently boarded up and in a state of disrepair, the arts organisation known as “Birmingham Open Media” (BOM) has announced that it has plans to restore the pub in an effort to celebrate its heritage. The Crown is also planned to run digital schemes to support disadvantaged local communities.

The news that The Crown will be reopening has led to a growing excitement within the community with locals calling for Ozzy OSbourne to take the stage to celebrate the venue’s return.

Sabine Brignell said: “Brilliant! I hope they ask Ozzy Osbourne to officially re-open it when fully restored!”

Lisa Minott comments: “I hope Black Sabbath do the opening.” That was a view echoed by many others including a fan saying “Sabbs to reunite and play The End.”

Ozzy Osbourne or any members of BLACK SABBATH have yet to comment. It would definitely be a cool thing if SABBATH reunited one final time to finish off their career at the place where it all started, however the odds of that happening are very, very low.
