MÖTLEY CRÜE has released a new song called “Dogs Of War”, which you can check out below. The new song was made available via MÖTLEY CRÜE’s new music deal with Nashville’s Big Machine Records

Legendary rockers MÖTLEY CRÜE roar back with a brand-new single, “Dogs Of War,” marking their first studio release since 2008’s “Saints Of Los Angeles.” This fresh track, produced by longtime collaborator Bob Rock, injects a potent dose of new energy while retaining the band’s classic sound.

Fueling the flames of anticipation, MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil revealed to Billboard: “We want to keep putting out new music, too, so we don’t get stagnant. We recorded ‘(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!)‘ by the BEASTIE BOYS and we recorded this song, too, and I thought it turned out pretty good.””].

Neil adds: “There’ll definitely be new music out next year, for sure, cause we recorded a couple of other songs, too. Maybe we’ll release one of those by the end of the year, but I can’t say. But we want to keep putting out new music — not, maybe, an album but a few songs here, a few songs there, and that’s good.””].

Neil describes “Dogs Of War” “like old school meets new school. It’s got that old-school vibe about it, but it’s new music. Nikki [Sixx, MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist] came up with it and he sent me the music and I thought it was really cool. So I started singing it and we got in the studio and it turned into the song I think the fans are really gonna like it.”.

This new chapter comes on the heels of the band’s massive success with the 2019 biographical film “The Dirt,” which introduced MÖTLEY CRÜE to a whole new generation of fans. Neil emphasizes the band’s desire to capitalize on this renewed interest by consistently delivering fresh music.

The release of “Dogs Of War” marks a significant turning point for MÖTLEY CRÜE. It signifies their dedication to staying relevant and creating new music for their devoted fanbase while captivating a new generation of listeners.

MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s last studio album was 2008’s “Saints Of Los Angeles”, which was followed by a 2009 “Greatest Hits” compilation.

More than a year ago, MÖTLEY CRÜE recorded three new songs with longtime producer Bob Rock, including “Dogs Of War” and a cover of BEASTIE BOYS‘ “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!)”.

MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s John 5 recently spoke with the Illinois Entertainer and revealed that he and his fellow bandmates are continuing to work on new music. “We have recorded some songs with [longtime MÖTLEY CRÜE producer] Bob Rock,” he said. “Just the other day, Nikki [SixxMÖTLEY CRÜE bassist] called me and he was playing guitar over the phone and he’ll play a riff, and he’ll sing this melody, and it sounded like it could be something off of [MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s debut album] ‘Too Fast For Love’.

“It’s just natural for him to write these songs that I have loved and lots of other people have loved. I think we’re always going to make new music, because, man, this guy is pumping out amazing lyrics and great music. When we all get together, it’s pretty magical.”

In the autumn of 2022, John 5 joined MÖTLEY CRÜE, stepping into the shoes of the band’s co-founding guitarist, Mick MarsMick had declared his retirement from touring with MÖTLEY CRÜE in October 2022 due to escalating health concerns.

Struggling with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), a chronic and inflammatory type of arthritis primarily impacting the spine and pelvis, Mars, after enduring years of pain during performances, communicated in the summer of 2022 that he could no longer embark on tours. However, he expressed a willingness to contribute to recording new music or participating in residencies that didn’t involve extensive travel.

Despite his retirement from touring, Mars affirmed his ongoing membership in the band, with John 5 assuming his role on the road. Nevertheless, in early April 2023, the 72-year-old musician filed a lawsuit against CRÜE in Los Angeles County’s Superior Court, alleging that following his retirement announcement, the other CRÜE members attempted to diminish his significant stake in the group’s corporation and business holdings through a shareholders’ meeting.
