Watch the captivating acoustic performance by MAMMOTH WVH, the band fronted by former VAN HALEN bassist Wolfgang Van Halen, as they played a three-song set at the studio of the French rock radio station Oüi FM

The setlist included a cover of FOO FIGHTERS‘ “My Hero,” their original tracks “Like A Pastime,” and “Another Celebration At The End Of The World.” You can check out the video below.

MAMMOTH WVH marked the release of their sophomore album, “II,” with a special appearance on NBC News’ “Today” show on August 3rd. The band showcased their musical prowess with two tracks from the LP: the heartfelt ballad “Waiting” during the 8 a.m. segment and the radio-friendly version of their upcoming single, “I’m Alright,” in the 9 a.m. hour.

Just last month, they unveiled the music video for “I’m Alright.” This visual treat picks up the storyline from their “Another Celebration At The End Of The World” video, where former members of Wolfgang‘s previous band, now aptly named MAMMOTH WWW, form their own band and enter a fierce “Battle Of The Bands” against MAMMOTH WVH. The twist unfolds when MAMMOTH WWW decides to claim the song “I’m Alright,” leading to unexpected results.

In addition to these exciting developments, MAMMOTH WVH recently announced a headline tour set for this fall in support of “Mammoth II.” This tour follows their successful European journey, where they opened for heavyweights like METALLICA, ALTER BRIDGE, and DEF LEPPARD/MÖTLEY CRÜE. The headline tour kicks off on November 4 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and continues through December 9 when MAMMOTH WVH returns to their hometown of Los Angeles.

The tour will visit cities like Chicago, Illinois (November 9); Sayreville, New Jersey (November 17); Dallas, Texas (November 25); and Seattle, Washington (December 3), among others. Notably, Nita Strauss will provide direct support on these headline dates. Furthermore, MAMMOTH WVH will continue their journey alongside METALLICA in the U.S., with previously announced opening dates on November 3 in St. Louis and November 10 in Detroit.

Released on August 4 via BMG, “Mammoth II” comprises 10 tracks and was recorded at the renowned 5150 studio. The album was brought to life with the guidance of Wolfgang‘s close friend and collaborator, Michael “Elvis” Baskette.

In keeping with his tradition of composing all the songs and handling all instrumental and vocal duties himself, Wolfgang Van Halen set out to push his musical boundaries beyond the familiar. “Mammoth II” takes listeners on a journey from the energetic opener, “Right?,” to the BEATLES-inspired finale, “Better Than You.” It is a testament to Wolfgang‘s growth as a songwriter, musician, and vocalist. Tracks like “Like A Pastime,” “Take A Bow,” and “Waiting” showcase a diverse sonic palette that defines the unique sound of Wolfgang Van Halen and MAMMOTH WVH.
