In April 2024, music fans are in for a treat as the unconventional tour “Sessanta” takes center stage, featuring a fusion of talent from PUSCIFER, A PERFECT CIRCLE, and PRIMUS
The live shows will see band members collaborating in an exciting musical convergence experience.
This Western U.S. tour marks the resurrection and expansion of the iconic 2014 Los Angeles event known as “Cinquanta,” initially intended as a one-time-only celebration. Similar to its legendary predecessor, “Sessanta” serves as a tribute to Maynard James Keenan, the frontman of both PUSCIFER and APC, as he marks his 60th birthday.
“Sessanta” stands out with its innovative format, where musicians from these three bands will seamlessly join each other’s performances throughout the concert. While each group will present their distinct sets, the lineup will continually evolve as the night unfolds, promising a dynamic and unforgettable experience.
“It took some massaging, and some long days in rehearsal, but we managed to seamlessly pull off this three-song rotation at ‘Cinquanta’, my 50th-birthday shows, at the Greek Theatre in 2014,” says Keenan of the seven-date run that also sees APC’s first live performances since 2018. “Bands aren’t used to simultaneously sharing the stage with other bands, but if anyone can do it, it’s PRIMUS, A PERFECT CIRCLE and PUSCIFER.”
For those eager to secure their spots, tickets for “Sessanta” will be available starting this Friday, September 15, and fans can explore VIP options via Tour.puscifer.com.
APC, known for their progressive sound, released their fourth album, “Eat The Elephant,” in April 2018 through BMG. The album had been highly anticipated, with fans eagerly awaiting new material as speculation reached a fever pitch during the band’s fall 2017 tour alongside the release of “The Doomed.” The group welcomed 2018 with the debut of “Disillusioned.” “Eat The Elephant” made a remarkable debut, topping the Billboard charts, including Top Rock Albums and Alternative Albums, with 68,000 equivalent album units. It also secured the No. 3 spot on the Billboard 200, marking the band’s fourth consecutive studio album to debut in the top five of the chart.
