Rock legend Sammy Hagar is about to etch his name – literally – into Hollywood history! On April 30th, 2024 at 11:30 AM PT, Hagar receives his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6212 Hollywood Boulevard. This prestigious honor caps a career that’s seen him dominate stages and charts for over five decades.
“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to honor rock legend Sammy Hagar for his contributions to the world of rock and roll music,” stated Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. “From his humble beginnings in Fontana, California to strolling the Hollywood Walk Of Fame as a young boy, he has truly come a long way.”
A Rock & Roll Legacy:
Hagar‘s musical journey started with a bang in the 70s with hard rock outfit MONTROSE. He then soared to solo stardom with iconic anthems like “I Can’t Drive 55“. But Hagar’s impact goes deeper. He fronted the mighty VAN HALEN, steered CHICKENFOOT to success, and currently rocks with the supergroup THE CIRCLE. These achievements, along with a Grammy Award and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, solidify his place as a rock legend.
Beyond the Music:
Sammy Hagar is more than just a frontman. He’s a New York Times best-selling author (check out his rockin’ memoir “Red”), a savvy entrepreneur, and a dedicated philanthropist. His Cabo Wabo Cantina chain has become a global brand, and his passion for spirits led to award-winning brands like Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum and Santo Spirits (co-created with Guy Fieri).
Giving Back Rocks Too:
Sammy Hagar extends his passion beyond music and business. He donates proceeds from his restaurants to local charities, supports children’s hospitals through “Acoustic-4-A-Cure” concerts, and established the Hagar Family Foundation, donating millions to communities.

The Walk of Fame ceremony is just the first chord! This summer, Sammy Hagar joins forces with Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham, and guitar legend Joe Satriani for the “The Best of All Worlds” tour. Expect a setlist packed with rock anthems spanning decades!
“It’s crazy to think that it’ll be 20 years since Mikey and I played many of these songs with VAN HALEN on the 04′ ‘Best Of Both Worlds’ tour,” said Hagar. “With Joe on board, we can take a deeper dive into those years which will be really cool for the fans, and us.”
