The official visualizer for their latest single, “In This Condition,” has been unveiled by STAIND
The song is featured on the forthcoming album titled “Confessions Of The Fallen,” scheduled for release on September 15 through Alchemy Recordings/BMG. Marking STAIND‘s first new full-length album since 2011, the record was brought to life under the production of Erik Ron (known for his work with GODSMACK, PANIC! AT THE DISCO, BLACK VEIL BRIDES).
In a recent talk with Billboard, frontman Aaron Lewis said that it took him “a long time to be ready to do another STAIND record. “I got really burnt out on digging into the dark corners of my psyche every night to deliver those very deep, dark songs in a manner that was believable and authentic,” he explained. “I needed to step away from it for awhile and do something different. It just came back together naturally.”
Discussing the lyrical inspiration for the track “Lowest In Me”, Aaron told Billboard: “Everybody has got people in their lives that don’t bring out the good in somebody. Just with what’s going on in the world right now, there’s so many things, so many people that are like, ‘You bring out the lowest in me.’ There’s a lot of factors out there that could fall under the ‘you’ category.”
When “Confessions Of The Fallen” was initially announced back in April, Lewis discussed the record’s musical direction, saying: “I did want to modernize the sound and bring us up to date. You can certainly recognize the band but at the same time you can hear that we’ve been paying attention and understand what kind of sounds and approaches we can use that maybe weren’t around the last time we did this.”
Since their inception in 1995, STAIND has graced the music scene with a total of seven albums, the most recent being their self-titled project in 2011. Throughout the initial two decades of their career, the band enjoyed a string of hit songs, notably the impactful “It’s Been Awhile,” which secured a spot in the Top 10. This track was a standout from their chart-topping album “Break The Cycle.” Further solidifying their success, subsequent albums like “14 Shades Of Grey” and “Chapter V” also achieved the coveted No. 1 status on the Billboard charts.
Breaking a nine-year album hiatus, STAIND made a triumphant return in May 2021 with “Live: It’s Been Awhile,” released through Yap’em/Alchemy Recordings. This monumental album release was complemented by “The Return Of Staind,” a captivating two-part global streaming series presented in collaboration with Danny Wimmer Presents.
In a harmonious collaboration, STAIND and GODSMACK embarked on a co-headlining 2023 tour, a Live Nation production that spanned 25 cities. Commencing on July 18 at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis, Missouri, the tour traversed various corners of the United States, culminating in a grand finale on August 31 at the Germania Insurance Amphitheatre in Austin, Texas.
