DISTURBED vocalist David Draiman says he would love to collaborate with Taylor Swift if the opportunity ever came about

Speaking with Sara Parker of Philadelphia’s WMMR radio stationDraiman said that he “would love to cover a Taylor Swift song. “I think that she is one of the most prolific songwriters of our generation,” he explained. (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET). “I think she is insanely talented. I’d love to collaborate with Taylor if she ever wanted to, on any given day.”

Draiman continued: “I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: I think she’s a brilliant woman. I think she’s, like I said, one of the great songwriters of our time. I love her gumption. I love the fact that she gets on stage in front of tens of thousands of screaming young female fans and plays a real instrument and sings live and is the real deal.

“I mean, there are a number of people within the pop genre that still do it the way that she does it — Pink is one of them; Lady Gaga is one of them. A lot of these people are just so gifted and so great at what they do, and she’s certainly waywayway up there. I have nothing but the utmost respect for her.

The eighth studio album from DISTURBED, “Divisive,” arrived back in November. Among its tracks is the emotionally charged anthem “Don’t Tell Me,” an epic duet featuring the powerful vocals of Ann Wilson from HEART. This significant song marked a notable milestone for the band, as it marked their first venture into including a guest feature on one of their LPs.

Divisive” stands as DISTURBED‘s latest musical offering. The album’s creation unfolded in the early months of the previous year, with production helmed by Drew Fulk, recognized for his work with diverse acts like MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, LIL PEEP, and HIGHLY SUSPECT, at a recording hub in Nashville, Tennessee.

The summer leg of DISTURBED‘s “Take Back Your Life” North American tour, launched on July 11, saw the band gracing stages across the continent. The inaugural show took place at Denver, Colorado’s Ball Arena, setting the tone for a season of riveting performances. Alongside them on this tour are fellow musical forces BREAKING BENJAMIN and JINJER, contributing to a lineup brimming with energy and anticipation.

Born on March 13, 1973, in Brooklyn, New York, Draiman grew up in a family with a strong musical background. He pursued his passion for music and developed his vocal skills from a young age.

In 1996, Draiman joined the newly formed band DISTURBED, which quickly gained attention with their unique blend of hard rock and heavy metal. Their debut album, “The Sickness,” was released in 2000 and achieved commercial success, establishing the group as a prominent force in the rock music scene.

Over the years, David‘s distinctive vocal style, characterized by powerful and melodic delivery, became a trademark of the band’s sound. The group went on to release several successful albums, including “Believe” (2002), “Ten Thousand Fists” (2005), and “Indestructible” (2008), each garnering critical acclaim and commercial triumph.
