SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL is a Russian deathcore band that emerged onto the international metal scene in the mid-2010s. The band was formed in 2014 in Yekaterinburg, Russia, by the talented vocalist Alex Shikolai and guitarist Jack Simmons. From the beginning, the band aimed to create a brutal and intense sound that would push the boundaries of deathcore.
In 2015, they released their debut single, “Hell,” which quickly gained attention in the underground metal scene. This release showcased their heavy and aggressive style, characterized by bone-crushing breakdowns, guttural vocals, and relentless drumming.
The band’s breakthrough came with their EP, “Chapters of Misery,” released in 2015. This EP solidified their reputation as a rising force in the deathcore genre, featuring songs like “Hell” and “Crowned & Conquered” that showcased their technical prowess and ferocious energy.
SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL continued to build momentum with their debut full-length album, “Misery Sermon,” released in 2017. The album received positive reviews for its sheer brutality and relentless aggression. Songs like “Chronic Slaughter” and “Agony” became fan favorites, solidifying the band’s place in the global deathcore scene. This would continue with the 2021 release of their sophomore release “Kostolom“.
Over the years, the band has undergone lineup changes, with Jack Simmons being the primary creative force behind the music. They have also expanded their international presence, touring extensively in Europe and North America. Their live performances are known for their intensity, with Alex Terrible‘s (Shikolai) monstrous vocals and the band’s crushing instrumentals leaving a lasting impression on audiences.
SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL‘s blend of death metal and hardcore elements, combined with their relentless aggression, has earned them a dedicated fan base and a prominent position in the modern deathcore landscape. Their music continues to evolve, and they remain a band to watch in the world of extreme metal.
