Australia’s extreme metal titans THY ART IS MURDER will return to North America for a headline tour this spring
The trek will kick off on April 11 at L’Olympia in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and run through May 11 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey. Support acts are ANGELMAKER, SIGNS OF THE SWARM and SNUFFED ON SIGHT.
“After decimating Europe on our largest headline tour ever, we are incredibly excited to bring our new album ‘Godlike’ to North America’s shores,” the band states.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, February 9 at 10 a.m. local time.

THY ART IS MURDER‘s performance on September 27, 2023, at Turbinenhalle 2 in Oberhausen, Germany, marked a significant moment for the band as it introduced Tyler Miller as its new vocalist. Miller, also a member of fellow Australian metal outfit AVERSIONS CROWN, stepped into the role following the departure of longtime vocalist Chris “CJ” McMahon, announced just days prior.
The transition coincided with the release of THY ART IS MURDER‘s latest album, “Godlike,” which notably does not feature McMahon‘s vocals. The new lineup swiftly re-recorded vocals for the album ahead of its release on September 22, 2023, through Human Warfare. Meanwhile, AVERSIONS CROWN, Miller‘s primary band, had previously released their album “Hell Will Come For Us All” in 2020 via Nuclear Blast.
THY ART IS MURDER‘s social media had been quiet for over a year, following complications surrounding a U.S. tour cancellation due to visa issues. This silence ended with the announcement of Miller‘s addition to the lineup.
The split with McMahon occurred amid controversy surrounding a transphobic comment he made on Instagram, prompting backlash and his temporary departure from social media. In response, the remaining members of THY ART IS MURDER posted a trans flag on Instagram in solidarity with the community.
McMahon‘s tenure with THY ART IS MURDER began in 2009, following the departure of Brendan Van Ryn, the band’s previous vocalist.
