THE ROLLING STONES have officially announced the title of their forthcoming album, “Hackney Diamonds,” marking their first album release since 2005

The complete details about this LP will be unveiled during a live YouTube event scheduled for Wednesday, September 6. This exclusive livestream will originate from the Hackney district in East London and feature interviews with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ron Wood, hosted by “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” host, Jimmy Fallon.

“Hackney may be at the heart of Hackney Diamonds, but this is a truly global moment we want to share with fans around the world via YouTube,” the group said in a statement.

This upcoming album by THE ROLLING STONES holds significant significance as it follows the passing of their drummer, Charlie Watts, in 2021. It also marks the band’s return to creating new original material after nearly two decades, since their last release, “A Bigger Bang,” in 2005. In 2016, the band paid homage to old-school blues with the release of “Blue & Lonesome,” a collection of cover songs.

In February of a previous year, THE ROLLING STONES confirmed that Paul McCartney would be making a guest appearance on at least one track of their upcoming album. The band reportedly recorded this album in a Los Angeles studio with Andrew Watt, who earned the title of “Producer Of The Year” at the 2021 Grammys.

Additionally, it is anticipated that THE ROLLING STONES new LP will feature several tracks recorded by Watts prior to his passing. Notably, in 2020, the band released a new track titled “Living In A Ghost Town.
