When RAMMSTEIN‘s 2023 European tour was announced last year, promoter MCT said the band sold over a million tickets in mere hours.
In June, RAMMSTEIN unveiled a noteworthy “anniversary edition” of their acclaimed second album, “Sehnsucht,” originally released in 1997. This special release marks the album’s debut in remastered high-definition sound, offering a fresh audio experience for fans. Beyond the well-known singles “Du Hast” and “Engel,” the album features an exclusive new mix version of the track “Spiel Mit Mir.”
The reimagined packaging for this edition was meticulously crafted by the original artwork designer, Dirk Rudolph. The CD is housed within an eight-panel digipak resembling the size of a Blu-ray case and comes with a 40-page booklet as well as an embossed silver foil slipcase. Inside the booklet, fans will find a treasure trove of previously unpublished and re-edited portrait photographs by artist Gottfried Helnwein.
As of April 2022, RAMMSTEIN treated their dedicated audience to their latest album, “Zeit.” The six-member band, comprised of Till Lindemann on vocals, Paul Landers and Richard Z. Kruspe on guitars, Flake on keyboards, Oliver Riedel on bass, and Christoph Schneider on drums, invested two years of intensive effort in crafting the eleven songs that make up this LP. Once again, they collaborated with Berlin producer Olsen Involtini for the creation of “Zeit,” which was recorded at La Fabrique Studios in St. Rémy de Provence, France.
The cover of the new album was captured by none other than Canadian musician and photographer, Bryan Adams. His lens framed RAMMSTEIN on the steps of Berlin Adlershof’s Trudelturm, an imposing monument dedicated to aerial research in the city’s Aerodynamic Park.
Throughout their nearly three-decade-long career, RAMMSTEIN has achieved remarkable success, selling over 20 million albums worldwide and embarking on numerous groundbreaking tours. Even in the face of challenges posed by the pandemic, including the postponement of a sold-out stadium tour, RAMMSTEIN utilized the time wisely to channel their creativity into the development of their new album.
As one of the most esteemed and electrifying metal groups in history, RAMMSTEIN is renowned for their live performances, which often feature jaw-dropping pyrotechnic displays that leave audiences in awe.
