PANTERA were joined by members of KREATOR on stage in Italy for a rendition of the band’s classic “Walk”

At The Return Of The Gods festival in Bologna, Italy, on Sunday (July 2), something truly epic unfolded: members of KREATOR, the mighty thrash metal gods themselves, joined forces with the legendary PANTERA on stage. Their mission? To provide some killer backing vocals for the iconic anthem, “Walk.”

The electrifying moment was captured on video, allowing fans around the globe to witness this epic collaboration. Check it out below and prepare to be left in awe of the sheer power emanating from that stage. You can check out fan-filmed video footage of the performance below.

KREATOR wasn’t just there to lend their incredible talents to PANTERA. They were one of the awesome support acts for the headlining legends. The festival also showcased mind-blowing performances by other incredible bands like ELEGANT WEAPONS and CORONER, ensuring a truly unforgettable experience for all who attended.

Now, let’s talk about the band’s current lineup that’s currently tearing up stages worldwide. With Philip Anselmo‘s unmistakable vocals and Rex Brown‘s thunderous bass leading the charge, they’ve enlisted the incomparable guitarist Zakk Wylde (known for his work with OZZY OSBOURNE and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY) and the mighty drummer Charlie Benante (a force to be reckoned with in ANTHRAX). Together, they’re taking the PANTERA legacy on a globe-spanning tour, headlining major festivals across South America, Asia, North America, and Europe. They’re also treating fans to their own headline concerts, ensuring that the flames of PANTERA burn brighter than ever.

PANTERA is also supporting the mighty METALLICA on their North American stadium tour throughout 2023 and 2024. That’s right, two of the most iconic metal forces will unite on the same stage, delivering a sonic assault that will shake the very foundations of the earth.

The metal world was forever changed when Vinnie Paul and Dimebag, the dynamic duo, co-founded the legendary band PANTERA. However, when PANTERA disbanded in 2003, they didn’t let the music die. They joined forces once again and formed DAMAGEPLAN, ready to unleash their sonic fury upon the world.

Tragically, on that fateful day, December 8, 2004, while performing with DAMAGEPLAN at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio, Dimebag‘s life was cut short in a senseless act of violence. A troubled schizophrenic, believing that the members of PANTERA were stealing his thoughts, senselessly shot and killed Dimebag right there on stage. The metal community mourned the loss of one of its most talented and beloved guitarists, leaving a void that can never be filled.

As if fate wasn’t finished dealing its cruel hand, Vinnie Paul, the indomitable drummer and brother-in-arms to Dimebag, left us on June 22, 2018. At the age of 54, Vinnie passed away at his other home in Las Vegas. The cause of his untimely departure was dilated cardiomyopathy, an enlarged heart, compounded by severe coronary artery disease. His heart, weakened over time, struggled to pump blood as efficiently as it should, ultimately leading to his tragic passing.

The loss of Vinnie Paul was yet another devastating blow to the metal community. His powerful drumming and infectious energy were a driving force behind PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN, earning him a well-deserved place among the pantheon of great metal drummers. His legacy as a talented musician and a kind-hearted soul will forever be remembered.
