Release ‘Afraid To Die’ Single Featuring JINJER’s TATIANA SHMAYLUK

P.O.D., the multi-platinum Christian rap-rockers, have returned with their second single, “Afraid To Die,” from their upcoming studio album, “Veritas”

This time, they’ve enlisted the vocal talents of Tatiana Shmayluk from the Ukrainian progressive metalcore band JINJER.

Although the precise release date is yet to be confirmed, P.O.D. is gearing up to unveil “Veritas” in early 2024 through the Mascot Label Group.

The band’s most recent album, “Circles,” made its debut in November 2018 through the Mascot Label Group. For this release, the band collaborated with the Los Angeles-based production duo known as the Heavy, comprised of Jason Bell and Jordan Miller. Their collaboration ensured that the album maintained a contemporary sound while preserving the core sonic elements that define P.O.D.

In September 2021, the band released the “Satellite: 20th Anniversary Edition” as both a double-CD and digital offering. This special release coincided with the album’s official anniversary and featured a total of 27 songs. It included a newly remastered version of the original album, as well as a curated selection of rarities, remixes, and four previously unreleased demos, one of which was the “Alive (Semi-Acoustic Version).” A few weeks later, the “Satellite: 20th Anniversary Edition” was also made available on vinyl as a double-LP, part of Rhino‘s Rocktober campaign.

Upon its initial release, “Satellite” entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 6 and went on to sell over seven million copies globally, with three million of those sales in the United States alone. The album spawned four hit singles: the title track, “Alive,” “Youth Of The Nation,” and “Boom.” In addition to its commercial success, “Satellite” earned P.O.D. three Grammy nominations: “Best Hard Rock Performance” for “Alive” (2002), “Best Metal Performance” for “Portrait” (2003), and “Best Hard Rock Performance” for “Youth Of The Nation” (2003).
