Canadian metal band KITTIE is reportedly in the process of crafting their upcoming studio album alongside renowned hard rock and heavy metal producer Nick Raskulinecz

On November 19, Sienna Studios in Nashville shared a photo featuring KITTIE and Raskulinecz, hinting at their collaborative work which included the caption: “”Amazing to have @officialkittie and @officialnickraskulinecz with us working on a new album. It’s gonna crush!”

Raskulinecz, who relocated from Los Angeles to Nashville about 15 years ago, boasts an impressive portfolio having collaborated with notable acts such as RUSH, ALICE IN CHAINS, KORN, RISE AGAINST, HALESTORM, EVANESCENCE, SKID ROW, and the DEFTONES.

Recently, KITTIE has been showcasing a fresh composition titled “Vultures” at some of their live performances.

Making a return to the stage after a five-year hiatus, the band’s first concert took place in September 2022 at the Blue Ridge Rock Festival at the Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia.

The current lineup of the band includes guitarist Tara McLeod and bassist Ivana “Ivy” Vujic, joining founding members Morgan and Mercedes Lander.

Prior to their performance at the Blue Ridge Rock Festival, their last show was in 2017 at London Music Hall in their hometown of London, Ontario, marking the celebration of the band’s documentary “Kittie: Origins/Evolutions.”

Following the touring cycle for the 2011 album “I’ve Failed You,” KITTIE entered a period of extended inactivity. During this time, Morgan pursued a marketing role in a chain of fitness clubs, while Mercedes delved into real estate and, more recently, a software company. The band also embarked on creating a comprehensive documentary, “Origins/Evolutions,” which was eventually released in 2018 through Lightyear Entertainment in North America.
