VAN HALEN drummer Alex Van Halen to release his autobiography “Brothers” in October
HarperCollins Publishers has announced the forthcoming release of “Brothers,” a compelling new book authored by the renowned drummer of VAN HALEN, Alex Van Halen. Scheduled for publication on October 22, 2024, this 384-page memoir falls under the category of “Biography & Autobiography” and is priced at $32.00.
The musical journey of Alex Van Halen began alongside his brother Eddie in Pasadena, California, back in 1972, under the moniker MAMMOTH. With the addition of vocalist David Lee Roth and bassist Michael Anthony, the band evolved into the iconic VAN HALEN.
Throughout the 1980s, VAN HALEN dominated the rock scene with chart-toppers like “Runnin’ With The Devil,” “Dance The Night Away,” “Hot For Teacher,” “Panama,” and “Jump.” Their musical prowess earned them a coveted spot in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2007.
The Van Halen family’s journey began with their emigration from the Netherlands to Pasadena in 1962.
Tragically, Eddie Van Halen‘s passing occurred in October 2020 at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California, where his devoted brother Alex and son Wolfgang stood by his side. Complications from cancer claimed the life of the legendary guitarist, as confirmed by his son.
Eddie‘s poignant final tribute came through an Instagram post on May 8, 2020, featuring a touching black-and-white snapshot of him and Alex, commemorating the drummer’s birthday.
