You can now check out fan-filmed video footage of Wolfgang Van Halen performing the VAN HALEN classic “Panama” at the Los Angeles tribute show for late FOO FIGHTERS drummer Taylor Hawkins below

After previously declaring he would never play the song live, Wolfgang honored his late father, Eddie Van Halen, at the Kia Forum on Tuesday night (September 27) along with FOO FIGHTERS mainman Dave Grohl, THE DARKNESS singer Justin Hawkins and drummer Josh Freese (DEVO, ex-A PERFECT CIRCLE).

The Los Angeles Taylor Hawkins tribute concert was the second official event in honor of the late FOO FIGHTERS drummer who died at the age of 50 back in March.

Last year, Wolfgang had thrown shade at social media commenters who suggested he perform the VAN HALEN song with his own band, MAMMOTH WVH, to which he replied: “I honor my dad by existing and doing what I do every day. I’m not fuckin’ playing panama for you guys.”

Just this morning (Wednesday, September 28), Wolfgang joked about playing “Panama” twice after his previous refusal to do so in a social media post which you can see below.

Taylor Hawkins was found dead in Bogota, Colombia, on March 25, before FOO FIGHTERS were scheduled to play the Festival Estereo Picnic.
