W.A.S.P. has unveiled the upcoming release of a deluxe 8LP box set titled “The 7 Savage: 1984-1992”
This remarkable collection encapsulates the “Capitol Years” of W.A.S.P. and boasts an array of captivating features. The studio albums have undergone meticulous half-speed mastering, ensuring a crisper, more vibrant sound. Comprising not only the albums but also an additional LP of bonus tracks, a 60-page book, posters, and a numbered certificate, this box set is a true gem for fans and collectors alike.
Scheduled for launch on Friday, October 27 via Madfish, “The 7 Savage: 1984-1992” is an exclusive release limited to a mere 2000 copies worldwide. The timing coincides with W.A.S.P.‘s hiatus from their “40 Years Live” global tour, during which they continue to captivate audiences with an undeniably improved musical prowess. A true powerhouse in the realm of rock music, W.A.S.P. remains an unwavering force, akin to a heavy metal juggernaut transcending time and space.
Fronted by the iconic Blackie Lawless, a figure of lasting significance in rock history, the band has carved its path with an audacious attitude and a transformative vision. This legacy has paved the way for some of the most iconic anthems of their era. The monumental impact of W.A.S.P.’s first five studio albums—namely, “W.A.S.P.”, “The Last Command“, “Inside The Electric Circus“, “The Headless Children“, and “The Crimson Idol“—positions the Lawless-led ensemble among the pantheon of rock legends. All of these albums are thoughtfully presented in the set, having undergone half-speed mastering at London’s Air Studios. The result is an elevated auditory experience, characterized by heightened clarity, precision, and engagement.

Housed in an elegant double slipcase with a rich red leatherette effect, W.A.S.P.‘s “The 7 Savage: 1984-1992” is supplemented by two additional LPs: the 1987 live recording “Live… In The Raw” and a new compilation entitled “Bonus Tracks & B-Sides,” which includes the provocative breakthrough anthem “Animal (F**k Like a Beast).”
The box set has been thoughtfully curated in close collaboration with Lawless himself. Encompassing a 60-page book, this set is a treasure trove of exclusive and rare photographs captured by legendary metal photographers, including luminaries like Ross Halfin, Tony Mottram, David Plastik, and Paul Natkin. The book is complemented by extensive liner notes crafted by Amit Sharma, a notable figure in music journalism through his contributions to Kerrang! and Planet Rock. As an added bonus, the set includes an exclusive Lawless poster and a unique, individually numbered circular saw-shaped certificate.
