Yesterday evening (Wednesday, August 30), the quartet that makes up DISTURBED were bestowed with a key to the city prior to their electrifying performance at the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Illinois

The group, which emerged in Chicago in 1994, has a significant history with the venue. Notably, they filmed the music video for their chart-topping track “Down With The Sickness” at the very same Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre (formerly known as Tweeter Center) during Q101’s Jamboree event back in May 2001.

DISTURBED shared a couple of photos from the ceremony to their social media and posted an accompanying message which read: “What an amazing honor receiving the key to the city in our hometown!

“Thank you to the Mayor of Tinley Park, @colleen.sullivan71 and to all of the trustees and board members for this sentimental moment.”

The present configuration of DISTURBED is comprised of the exceptional talents of vocalist David Draiman, versatile guitarist and keyboardist Dan Donegan, accomplished drummer Mike Wengren, and skilled bassist John Moyer.

Setting the stage ablaze, DISTURBED embarked on the summer leg of their “Take Back Your Life” North American tour in July 11, 2023, commencing at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. Joining them on this journey are the supporting acts BREAKING BENJAMIN and JINJER. Their latest album, titled “Divisive,” hit the shelves in November. The album was meticulously crafted in the early months of the prior year, with esteemed producer Drew Fulk (known for his work with MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, LIL PEEP, and HIGHLY SUSPECT) at the helm, stationed in Nashville, Tennessee.

In an impressive debut, “Divisive” secured its place on the musical stage by selling 26,000 equivalent album units during its inaugural week of release. A significant portion of this achievement—22,000 units, to be precise—stemmed from album sales.

Reflecting their enduring popularity, “Divisive” achieved an outstanding entry onto the comprehensive Billboard 200 chart, positioning itself at a commendable No. 13 spot.
