VAN HALEN has just unveiled a newly remastered official music video for the timeless track “Right Now,” available in HD for the first time on the official VAN HALEN YouTube channel

In 1992, this iconic video clinched three awards at the MTV Video Music Awards, including the coveted “Video Of The Year” accolade.

Celebrating the band’s second era featuring Sammy Hagar as the vocalist, alongside the legendary lineup of Eddie Van Halen on guitar, Alex Van Halen on drums, and Michael Anthony on bass, VAN HALEN has introduced a comprehensive boxed set. This release encompasses newly remastered editions of four multi-platinum studio albums, along with an assortment of rare recordings spanning from 1989 to 2004. Named “The Collection II,” this box set is now available in both five LPs for $124.98 and five CDs for $49.98. Every piece of music included in this collection has been meticulously remastered from the original master tapes, with the supervision of the band’s longtime engineer, Donn Landee.

This eagerly awaited sequel follows the footsteps of “The Collection,” a compilation released in 2015, which spotlighted the six studio albums recorded by VAN HALEN‘s original lineup, featuring the renowned David Lee Roth as the lead singer. “The Collection II” picks up the narrative from where its predecessor left off, delving into the four consecutive No. 1 albums from the Hagar era: “5150” (1986), “OU812” (1988), “For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge” (1991), and “Balance” (1995).

The journey embarks with “5150,” VAN HALEN‘s seventh studio album, which not only claimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 but also earned a platinum certification six times over in the U.S. It featured hit tracks such as “Dreams,” “Love Walks In,” and “Why Can’t This Be Love,” the latter reaching No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Two years later, “OU812” followed, achieving quadruple-platinum status and delivering four Billboard Hot 100 hits, including “Finish What Ya Started” and “When It’s Love.”

Continuing this streak of accolades was “For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge,” which secured VAN HALEN its inaugural Grammy Award in the category of “Favorite Heavy Metal/Hard Rock Album.” The album debuted at No. 1 and maintained its position for three consecutive weeks, eventually earning a triple-platinum certification. The record spawned a remarkable seven singles, including chart-toppers like “Poundcake,” “Top Of The World,” and “Right Now.”

In 1993, the band unleashed their first live album, “Live: Right Here, Right Now,” before returning in 1995 with “Balance,” their final studio album with Hagar. This album also debuted at No. 1, sold over three million copies, and received a Grammy nomination for “The Seventh Seal.

The Collection II” culminates with “Studio Rarities 1989-2004,” an exclusive compilation that compiles eight hidden gems from the Hagar era for the very first time. Among these rarities is “Crossing Over,” which originally served as the B-side to “Can’t Stop Lovin’ You” from “Balance” and remains the band’s sole non-album B-side.

The compilation further shines with exceptional highlights, including VAN HALEN‘s rendition of LITTLE FEAT‘s “A Apolitical Blues” and the instrumental track “Baluchitherium,” both of which were initially absent from the vinyl versions of “OU812” and “Balance,” respectively. The collection also features two songs that the band contributed to the “Twister” soundtrack — “Humans Being” and the Grammy-nominated “Respect The Wind.”

Completing this set are “It’s About Time,” “Up For Breakfast,” and “Learning To See,” recorded during the band’s temporary reunion with Hagar in 2004. All three tracks made their debut that year on VAN HALEN‘s second greatest-hits compilation, “The Best Of Both Worlds.”
