In a resounding climax, SLAYER bid their farewell through a final tour, concluding in November 2019 at the Los Angeles Forum. Despite fans’ hopes for a reunion, Kerry‘s wife Ayesha King firmly dismissed the possibility of the legendary thrash metal group making a return to the stage. Even when Kerry was seen in a series of Instagram photos, a fan’s concern was met with Ayesha’s assertion that SLAYER‘s legacy would remain untouched.

During this period, SLAYER drummer Paul Bostaph confirmed his involvement in a new project led by Kerry King, forged over the course of three years, with the goal of recording music once the pandemic subsided.

The grand culmination of SLAYER‘s iconic journey unfolded with their final world tour, commencing on May 10, 2018. The band’s intention was to reach as many corners of the globe as possible, ensuring that fans worldwide could witness a last, memorable SLAYER performance. The 18-month odyssey encompassed seven distinct tour legs and a lineup of major summer festivals, spanning over 140 shows in 30 countries and 40 states across the U.S.
