FALLING IN REVERSE mainman Ronnie Radke has commented on SPIRITBOX pulling out of the support spot on his band’s forthcoming summer tour

SPIRITBOX just recently officially announced that they would not be moving ahead with their announced U.S. dates this summer with FALLING IN REVERSE, ICE NINE KILLS and more.

The group’s decision to not join the run of dates came amidst a wave of public uproar directed at several of the opening bands announced for the upcoming trek.

The news wasn’t all that surprising among fans, with the group deleting all mention of their involvement with the tour on their social media a couple weeks ago. This came shortly after a flood of comments appeared on social media, which saw some fans opposing the prospect of ICE NINE KILLS, UNDEROATH and SPIRITBOX hitting the road with FALLING IN REVERSE.

The main issue seemed to be with FALLING IN REVERSE frontman Ronnie Radke, given his past allegedly problematic behavior and apparent opinions. CROWN THE EMPIRE‘s involvement in the upcoming tour also caused a controversial backlash, despite the band adamantly denying the abuse allegations made against their guitarist/vocalist Brandon Hoover.

In a brief statement issued March 13th SPIRITBOX wrote: “We have withdrawn from the 6 shows we were scheduled to perform on the Popular Monstour.”

The band didn’t offer any explanation as to why they withdrew from the tour however a recent response from Ronnie Radke appears to confirm that it was due to online backlash.

While addressing a fan who was commending him for not publicly criticizing SPIRITBOX for their withdrawal from the bill, Radke said earlier today (March 20th): “Could never talk trash, Courtney and rest of them are so sweet, I feel sorry for them as some of their fans are awful.”

OUR LAST NIGHT have taken the Canadian metal band’s spot on the tour.

Outside of the FALLING IN REVERSE dates, SPIRITBOX are still hitting the road elsewhere throughout 2023.

The band have Australian dates lined up later this month, with a North American tour in April and May before they head off to Europe for shows leading into the summer. You can get all the band’s tour info at this location.
