PUDDLE OF MUDD vocalist Wesley “Wes” Scantlin was arrested on Monday (February 20) after allegedly trespassing at an old home he lost to foreclosure
RadarOnline.com reports that the 50-year-old musician was arrested in Hollywood at around 11:00 a.m. and then taken to jail on charges of misdemeanor trespassing.
Scantlin was initially held on a $1,000 bond, however he was released on his own recognizance at 2:26 p.m.
RadarOnline.com reports that the arrest came after a female TikTok user claimed “a famous rock singer” was on her property located in the Hollywood Hills and just wasn’t leaving. In the posted TikTok clip, the user claims the man “camped outside” and threatened her maid and was eventually arrested because he had “an active order against him.”
The uploaded clip apparently shows Scantlin outside a home he purchased in 2005, which he lost to foreclosure a decade later. In January 2016, Scantlin was charged with vandalism and trespassing after attempting to break in through a window, which proved unsuccessful. He then went on to call a locksmith to change the locks, tore an alarm system out of the wall and caused nearly $7000 worth of damage to a garage door and plumbing.
Wes has had frequent run-ins with the law, pertaining to alcohol, finances and other issues, before claiming to have gotten sober in 2017.
Scantlin was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in September 2017 after attempting to board a plane with a BB gun. He was also arrested in December 2015 for possession of a controlled substance after numerous earlier detainments for driving under the influence.
