KISS frontman Paul Stanley has praised the return of PANTERA, saying the band’s new lineup is “killin’ it”

PANTERA took the stage for the first time in over 20 years Friday night (December 2) at Mexico’s Hell & Heaven Metal Fest.

The foursome, made up of surviving PANTERA members Philip Anselmo (vocals) and Rex Brown (bass) along with guitarist Zakk Wylde (OZZY OSBOURNE, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY) and drummer Charlie Benante (ANTHRAX) will be on the road playing a number of major festivals across North America, South America and Europe as well as some of their own headline concerts.

PANTERA are next set to appear at Mexico’s Monterrey Metal Fest, followed by appearances at three Knotfest festivals in South America. There will also be a one-off show with JUDAS PRIEST in São Paulo, Brazil and a headlining concert in Santiago. On top of those dates, PANTERA will also be hitting the road with METALLICA for their M72 world tour in 2023 and 2024. .

Over the weekend, Paul posted a photo of PANTERA‘s Hell & Heaven Metal Fest appearance to social media, including the following message: “THRILLED to see Phil, Rex and PANTERA back and KILLIN’ it! Zakk and Charlie clearly did their homework with love and commitment. PANTERA did shows with us years ago and were ferocious and explosive. Others tried but NOBODY could be them. Dime and Vinnie would be proud. @Pantera”.

Both Vinnie Paul and Dimebag were massive KISS fans, with both musicians being buried in “Kiss Kaskets” provided by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. The coffins feature the faces of the four founding members of KISS, the KISS logo and the words “Kiss Forever”.
