PAPA ROACH appears to be gearing up for an eventful 2025, with extensive plans on the horizon
The multi-platinum nü-metal/alternative rock outfit is set for a flurry of activities, encompassing the release of new music, commemorating the 25th anniversary of their 3x multi-platinum major label debut, “Infest,” and the creation of a book.
In a recent conversation with 99.7 The Blitz, PAPA ROACH vocalist, Jacoby Shaddix, provided insights into the array of initiatives they have lined up.
He said: “Right now, early in the year, we’ve been working on a bunch of new music. And so we’re essentially pulling the slingshot back. 2025 is gonna be a big year for Papa Roach. It’s the 25th anniversary of our first album ‘Infest‘. We’ve got a book, we’ve got tours, we’ve got the whole nine. And we’ve got a whole new batch of music that we’re going to drop. And so new music will be probably coming, like, later in the year — third or fourth quarter.”
“It’s good to get a little calm before the storm, and so I’m taking this year and just creating tons of music, writing for Papa Roach, writing with other artists and really just being as creative as possible.”
In related news, PAPA ROACH have proudly joined Spotify’s illustrious “Billions Club” thanks to their timeless hit, “Last Resort”.
The “Billions Club” is a playlist introduced by Spotify in 2020, gathering all the songs that have crossed the remarkable threshold of one billion streams on the platform. As a token of recognition, Spotify awards artists with the prestigious Billions Club plaque.
PAPA ROACH now stands shoulder to shoulder with a select group of artists, including iconic names like METALLICA‘s “Nothing Else Matters,” SURVIVOR‘s “Eye Of The Tiger,” ABBA‘s “Dancing Queen,” and Whitney Houston‘s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” who have also achieved this remarkable feat. It’s worth noting that this milestone has been reached by nearly 500 tracks to date.
“Last Resort” initially made its debut on PAPA ROACH‘s breakthrough album, “Infest,” which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2020. This album soared to No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart and secured a triple platinum certification from the RIAA (Recording Industry Association Of America) for exceeding three million copies sold in the U.S. alone. “Infest” featured other fan-favorite tracks like “Broken Home,” “Blood Brothers,” and “Between Angels & Insects.”
PAPA ROACH continues to make their mark with their latest album, “Ego Trip,” which hit the airwaves in April 2022 through New Noize Records in collaboration with ADA Worldwide, WMG‘s independent label and artist services arm. This latest accomplishment in the “Billions Club” is a testament to the enduring appeal of their music.
