PANTERA bassist Rex Brown has married his longtime girlfriend Elena Henrard
On June 26, PANTERA bassist Rex Brown married his fiancée and longtime girlfriend Elena Henrard at a small ceremony without any guests in Port de Sóller, Spain.
On Sunday (Jul 23), Brown, who proposed to Elena in December 2022 in Bogotá, Colombia, posted a photo to social media from the ceremony, writing in an accompanying caption: “some days are diamonds, some days are rocks. but this day below made me so full of gratitude, it cannot be explained in font..”
Elena would also post numerous pictures from the wedding to her personal Facebook page, writing: “Surprise! With love in our hearts, we exchanged vows in a private ceremony on 6.26.2022 in Port de Sóller, Spain. Although we decided to celebrate our love just the two of us, please know that you were in our hearts and thoughts on this special day.”
In 1984, Rex and Elena crossed paths and fell deeply in love. After two decades apart, they found each other again in August 2011 and have been inseparable ever since, now residing together in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Presently, PANTERA‘s lineup consists of two surviving members from the band’s iconic era, namely Rex on bass and Philip Anselmo on vocals. They are joined by the renowned guitarist Zakk Wylde (known for his work with OZZY OSBOURNE and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY) and skilled drummer Charlie Benante (associated with ANTHRAX).
The reinvigorated PANTERA lineup is set to headline numerous prominent festivals spanning across South America, Asia, North America, and Europe. Additionally, they will be hosting their own headline concerts. Notably, the band will embark on an exciting journey by supporting METALLICA on a grand North American stadium tour during 2023 and 2024. Fans have much to look forward to as the iconic PANTERA sound returns to the stage with a fresh and powerful lineup.
