PANTERA performed the classic track “Slaughtered” for the first time in over 22 years at their U.S. headline tour kickoff
Friday (July 28), saw the reformed PANTERA commence their highly anticipated U.S. headlining tour, joined by LAMB OF GOD, at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.
The crowd at Burgettstown witnessed a remarkable moment as PANTERA treated them to a memorable setlist, featuring a special inclusion. The band performed “Slaughtered,” a song that had not graced the stage since their comeback last year. “Slaughtered” hails from PANTERA‘s acclaimed 1994 album “Far Beyond Driven,” a landmark in metal history, being the heaviest metal record to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The electrifying performance delighted fans and added an extra layer of excitement to the already thrilling night.
Before PANTERA‘s recent comeback, the band’s classic lineup last performed “Slaughtered” on August 1, 2001, at Winnipeg Arena in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It had been a significant span of time since the song graced the stage with its powerful presence before making a triumphant return during their latest tour.
