During METALLICA’s recent shows at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, fans were treated to exciting pre-concert performances by PRONG on August 4 and OVERKILL on August 6

These pre-show events took place in the G section of the MetLife parking lot, starting at 3 p.m. on each respective day. To attend these special parking lot performances, attendees required a valid ticket.

On Friday’s gig at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, PANTERA and MAMMOTH WVH delivered stellar support performances inside the stadium, with the music kicking off at 6 p.m. Then, on Sunday, the show was opened by FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and ICE NINE KILLS.

These shows are part of METALLICA‘s groundbreaking “M72” tour, showcasing a striking new in-the-round stage design that relocates the iconic METALLICA Snake Pit to center stage at the 50-yard line.

Marking the beginning of the North American leg of the “M72” tour, named after their latest album “72 Seasons“, METALLICA is set to play two-night stands in various cities worldwide from this year until 2024. Additionally, during weekends in select cities like New York City area, Montreal, Dallas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, St. Louis, and Detroit, special “takeover” events are planned. These events will include film festivals, pop-up stores, Ross Halfin book signings, tribute bands, exclusive performances by friends and family, and much more.

As for OVERKILL, they recently wrapped up the successfulScorching The Earth” U.S. tour, sharing the stage with EXHORDER and HEATHEN. Their twentieth studio album, “Scorched,” released in April through Nuclear Blast Records, has been a powerful addition to their illustrious discography.
