Nikki Sixx, the bassist of MÖTLEY CRÜE, has unveiled his ongoing venture into literary creation with the development of his fifth book
Having previously achieved the remarkable feat of four appearances on the New York Times best-seller list, Sixx authored “The First 21” (2021), “This Is Gonna Hurt” (2011), “The Heroin Diaries” (2007), and MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s biographical masterpiece “The Dirt: Confessions Of The World’s Most Notorious Rock Band” (2001). Notably, in November 2021, his most recent publication, “The First 21: How I Became Nikki Sixx,” made a striking entry into the New York Times best-seller list, securing the eighth position on the Hardcover chart and the eleventh spot on the Combined Print And Ebook List.
Late Monday night (August 7), Sixx posted the following to his social media accounts: “Started on my 5th book. If things go smoothly we should be able to release it next year. If it connects it will be my 5th time on the New York Times best seller list….

Within the pages of “The First 21: How I Became Nikki Sixx,“ Sixx intricately detailed his origin tale, delving into the transformation from Frank Feranna to the iconic persona of Nikki Sixx. This captivating narrative chronicles his extraordinary odyssey, spanning from his spirited upbringing as an Idaho farm boy to his pivotal role in shaping the trailblazing rock ensemble, MÖTLEY CRÜE.
In a recent revelation less than two years ago, Sixx conveyed his collaborative endeavor with his wife Courtney Sixx in crafting a children’s book that embraces the theme of diversity.
“Me and my wife are working on a book about this little girl who goes to all of these countries in her imagination,” Nikki told The Aquarian Weekly. “She goes to Africa and she has this little African boy or girl teaching her about that culture, or she goes to England, and then she goes to Wyoming and learns about horses, then goes to Japan and learns about the food and the culture and the language. That is a great idea.”
Notably, CRÜE, DEF LEPPARD, and Alice Cooper embarked on a compelling U.S. mini-tour this summer, which commenced on August 5 in Syracuse, New York. This melodious journey traverses the heartland of the Midwest before culminating in El Paso, Texas on August 18. As the summer chapter draws to a close, a new chapter unfolds, as the tour continues with anticipated performances in Japan and Australia during the upcoming fall season.
