Maynard James Keenan’s 50th Birthday bash which features performances from A PERFECT CIRCLE, FAILURE and PUSCIFER is arriving next month
On March 22nd, fans can anticipate the release of a special concert commemorating the 50th birthday of Maynard James Keenan, the versatile vocalist of TOOL, A PERFECT CIRCLE, PUSCIFER, and more. This exclusive release, titled “Cinquanta: A 50th Birthday Celebration For Maynard James Keenan – Live,” will be available on CD/Blu-ray and vinyl formats.
‘Cinquanta,’ took place on May 10th and 11th, 2014, at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, in honor of Keenan’s 50th birthday. It featured a unique collaboration with members from A PERFECT CIRCLE, PUSCIFER and FAILURE sharing the stage simultaneously, performing selections from each band’s repertoire. Highlights from the event included Keenan joining FAILURE for renditions of “The Nurse Who Loved Me,” “Blank,” and “Solaris.”
Keenan‘s TOOL bandmates, Danny Carey (drums) and Justin Chancellor (bass), contributed to a cover of TOOL‘s “Sober,” and Carey participated in some PUSCIFER tracks. Ken Andrews, vocalist/guitarist of FAILURE, joined in on PUSCIFER‘s “The Undertaker,” while Billy Howerdel, the guitarist of A PERFECT CIRCLE, collaborated on various PUSCIFER tracks.

As Keenan approaches his 60th birthday on April 17th, he is gearing up for a series of collaborative live performances titled ‘Sessanta,’ featuring members of A PERFECT CIRCLE, PRIMUS and PUSCIFER.
