LOTUS EATER have disbanded amid allegations that have been made against the band’s vocalist Paul Collins. These allegations surfaced online via Paul’s Twitter account with several apparent victims alleging everything from non-consensual sex to abusive behavior and spreading STDs.
LOTUS EATER initially responded to the allegations with the following statement yesterday, July 09th:
“Paul Collins is no longer a member of Lotus Eater.”
That statement was signed by the band’s drummer/vocalist Cameron Humphrey and guitarist/bassist Aiden Cooper. An hour later, LOTUS EATER revealed that they were no more, posting:
“Lotus Eater
2016-2021
Gloom Worldwide, thank you for everything.”
LOTUS EATER had been planning to release their new album “Where The Body Goes” on July 23rd through Hopeless Records. Last month the band released a music video for the single “Obliterate”, which features a BRING ME THE HORIZON frontman Oli Sykes.
