In a subtle move, IN FLAMES has quietly released a new track titled “Become One” on streaming platforms today (February 9)
The melodic death metal anthem initially appeared on the deluxe edition of the band’s latest album, “Foregone,” released in 2023, but is only now making its online debut.
“Foregone,” released on February 10 last year, was hailed as a resurgence for the Gothenburg pioneers, marking a return to their roots in melodic death metal after several albums that leaned towards alternative metal, receiving mixed reactions from fans.

IN FLAMES recently wrapped up a North American tour with MESHUGGAH and WHITECHAPEL and is currently on a series of dates across Asia and Oceania. The band is set to embark on a headline tour in America in May, followed by a co-headlining stint across Europe with fellow melodic death metal stalwarts ARCH ENEMY, with support from SOILWORK.

IN FLAMES, a seminal Swedish metal band, emerged in the early 1990s in Gothenburg. Formed by Jesper Strömblad, the band initially blended melodic death metal with elements of thrash and traditional heavy metal, creating a unique sound that would influence countless bands in the genre.
