Is there new GUNS N’ ROSES music on the way?  A recent pic of Axl Rose and Slash in the studio could be hinting at just that

Urban Sound Studios in Oslo, Norway recently blessed us with a snapshot of GUNS N’ ROSES dynamic duo, Axl Rose and Slash. The photo, allegedly taken after the band’s electrifying performance at Norway’s Tons Of Rock festival, had fans buzzing with excitement.

Posted on the Urban Sound StudiosInstagram account, the picture featured the caption: “We got to hang out with these 2 rock legends in the studio today. Really cool guys! (The two in the middle…). The band wanted a nice studio with a variety of speakers and headphones to listen to new mixes before they head for Glastonbury. It sounds awesome!”

During a chat on SiriusXM‘s “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk” show back in October 2022, the ever-charismatic Slash was grilled about the band’s plans for future tunes. He slyly hinted, “I wanna go in and cut a whole brand new record at some point, probably sooner than later. But other than that, we have stuff that we’ve still got to come out. So that’s gonna be coming out piecemeal over the next — I don’t know — over the next few months or something like that. So that’s basically it. We have one more tour left to do next summer, and then that’ll free us up to be able to go in and work on a new record.”

GUNS N’ ROSES last graced our ears with the tantalizing four-song EP, “Hard Skool,” which arrived back in February 2022. This exclusive gem, available only through the band’s official store, treated us to the punchy title track and the delightfully “ABSUЯD” (yes, it’s spelled that way) alongside live renditions of “Don’t Cry” and “You’re Crazy.” A mouthwatering appetizer for fans of the band indeed.

Slash also revealed that several other older GUNS N’ ROSES tracks had been reworked during the pandemic. “There’s a handful of those songs that we actually fixed up and did when we were in lockdown,” he explained to “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk”. “So those have yet to be released. So those are gonna come out. They’re really good, too. So I’m excited for those. We’re just gonna put out like one or two songs, and another one or two songs. And I think that’s gonna be pretty much all of ’em. I’m not sure exactly how many we did in total.”

So, dear fans, the mighty G N’R may be cooking up some savory tunes or perhaps just indulging in studio snacks. Either way, stay tuned for more news, and remember, “patience” is a virtue, especially when awaiting the sonic majesty of legends in action.
