You can now watch footage of GHOST’s Papa Emeritus IV (a.k.a. Tobias Forge) throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland Guardians game last night

The GHOST mainman took to the mound last night (Thursday, September 22) at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago, Illinois and delivered the honored pitch which can be seen below.

The MLB ceremonial first pitch is a longstanding honor bestowed among special guests of the league which marks the end of pregame festivities and the start of the actual game.

Just this week, GHOST made their first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with the song “Mary On A Cross“, which was initially released as a two-track single back in 2019 alongside “Kiss The Go-Goat”. The song, which has seen a massive resurgence as of late on TikTok, debuted at No. 90 on the chart with six million U.S. streams and 1,000 downloads sold.

GHOST‘s latest album “Impera” was released on March 11. The 12-song effort was produced by Klas Åhlund and mixed by Andy Wallace.

Tobias Forge worked on GHOST‘s follow-up to 2018’s “Prequelle” with Åhlund and Swedish co-writers Salem Al Fakir and Vincent Pontare.
