Burton C. Bell, the former vocalist of FEAR FACTORY, has unveiled his rendition of the iconic RAMMSTEIN track “Du Hast”
This cover version, enriched by the drum and guitar contributions of Paul Ferguson from KILLING JOKE, and mixed and produced by Mark Gemini Thwaite, will be featured on the highly anticipated album “A Tribute To Rammstein“. Set to release on August 25 through Cleopatra Records, the album pays homage to the legendary German band.
Earlier today (Monday, July 17), Bell shared the cover art for his version of “Du Hast” on Instagram, and he included the following message: “TODAY IS THE DAY that my #breakout #debut #singletrack of #duhast is released! Thank you to everyone @cleopatrarecords for bringing me, @markgeminithwaite and @bigpaulferguson together to produce this energized version of @rammsteinofficial #iconic song. I’ve only just begun. #burtoncbell #drylungvocalmartyr #annhilisticautomoton”.
According to Cleopatra, the album will include “vicious cover versions” of the band’s classics by “new-school industrial acts such as PRIEST, MANNTRA and JULIEN-K“, along with “vanguard veterans FRONTLINE ASSEMBLY, LAIBACH, SKOLD and more”.

Since his departure from FEAR FACTORY in September 2020, the 54-year-old Burton C. Bell has maintained a relatively low profile in the music industry. Upon announcing his exit, he cited an inability to “align” himself with someone he neither trusted nor respected, seemingly referring to the band’s founding guitarist, Dino Cazares. This statement highlighted the deep-rooted issues that led to their professional separation.
