EVANESCENCE Hits 1 Billion Streams For ‘Bring Me To Life’ On SPOTIFY

EVANESCENCE has officially joined Spotify’s prestigious “Billions Club” with their breakthrough 2003 hit “Bring Me To Life”

Introduced in 2020, the Billions Club playlist on Spotify highlights songs that have surpassed the remarkable milestone of one billion streams on the platform. In recognition of this achievement, Spotify presents artists with the esteemed Billions Club plaque.

“Bring Me To Life” now stands alongside other iconic tracks that have attained this milestone, such as METALLICA‘s “Nothing Else Matters,” AEROSMITH‘s “Dream On,” SURVIVOR‘s “Eye Of The Tiger,” ABBA‘s “Dancing Queen,” PAPA ROACH‘s “Last Resort,” GUNS N’ ROSES‘ “Paradise City,” and Whitney Houston‘s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” Remarkably, close to 500 songs have reportedly reached this impressive feat.

In February 2022, EVANESCENCE‘s music video for “Bring Me To Life” achieved another remarkable milestone by surpassing one billion views on YouTube. Directed by Philipp Stölzl and uploaded to YouTube in December 2009, the visually captivating video was filmed in Romania in January 2003. The video features lead singer Amy Lee in a nightgown and barefoot within her room, set against the backdrop of a city at night, while the rest of the band plays on a higher floor of the building.

The album version of “Bring Me to Life” featured guest vocals from Paul McCoy of 12 STONES and was notably included in the soundtrack of the superhero film “Daredevil.”
