Corey Taylor of SLIPKNOT fame has revealed the early 2024 North American leg of his “CMF2” solo tour. DES ROCS and JIGSAW YOUTH are set to provide support on this leg of the tour
Tickets for the upcoming shows will be available for purchase starting Friday, December 15, at 10 a.m. local time.
Having recently concluded European and North American tours in support of his second solo album, “CMF2,” released on September 15, Taylor continues to push the boundaries. This album, his debut with BMG and the inaugural release on his label imprint, Decibel Cooper Recordings, was produced by Jay Ruston (known for his work with ANTHRAX, STEEL PANTHER, AMON AMARTH), who also handled production for STONE SOUR‘s “Hydrograd” in 2017, as well as Taylor‘s 2020 solo debut, “CMFT.”
On “CMF2,” Corey Taylor showcases his versatility by singing, playing lead and rhythm guitar, piano, and mandolin throughout the 13-track opus. The album encapsulates the energy, experimentation, and honesty that have characterized Taylor‘s career, with over 12 million albums sold with Grammy-winning band SLIPKNOT and several million with chart-toppers STONE SOUR.
The recording of “CMF2” commenced in early January at The Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Jay Ruston. Taylor was joined in the studio by his solo band — bassist Eliot Lorango, drummer Dustin Robert, and guitarists Christian Martucci and Zach Throne.
The album includes twenty-six tracks, featuring standouts like “Beyond” and “Post Traumatic Blues.”
Corey Taylor‘s previous solo album, “CMFT,” boasted the No. 1 Billboard mainstream rock single “Black Eyes Blue” and the streaming hit “CMFT Must Be Stopped” (featuring Tech N9ne and Kid Bookie), ultimately reaching No. 6 on Billboard’s U.S. Top Rock Albums chart.
