AMON AMARTH recently updated their social media pages yesterday (May 27) with a new brand new logo and the hashtag #TGHA.
Fans of the Swedish death metallers began speculating what #TGHA stands for, with the most prominent guess being album titles like “The Gods Have Arrived“, “The Great Hall Awaits“, “The Great Heathen Army“, and many more.
It would make sense as AMON AMARTH released the brand new single “Put Your Back Into The Oar” earlier this year as well as mentioning that fans should “enjoy the song and video while we continue to work on a new album.”
As well, AMON AMARTH has posted a map of the city of York in North Yorkshire, England, a city that was captured by a Viking army, led by Ivar the Boneless and Halfdan, in the year 866. The city was eventually renamed Jórvík and was the capital of Viking territory in Britain until the year 954, when it was recaptured by King Eadred.
With speculation remaining high on the possible new album arriving soon, fans can only speculate at this point.
