Dutch metal act WITHIN TEMPTATION have released the official music video for their newest single, “A Fool’s Parade”, featuring Ukrainian producer and vocalist Alex Yarmak
All royalties from the new single will be donated to Music Saves UA for the duration of the Russia-Ukraine war.
According to a press release from WITHIN TEMPTATION‘s publicist, “A Fool’s Parade” “showcases the band’s commitment to raising awareness of Ukraine’s ongoing battle against Russia’s invasion. The song itself serves as a condemnation of Russia’s deceitful actions and sheds light on the harsh realities faced by Ukraine. WITHIN TEMPTATION remains steadfast in their support for Ukraine, with involvement in initiatives such as the Ukraine Aid OPS foundation, advocating for more much-needed solidarity.”
Recorded amidst the streets of Kyiv with renowned Ukrainian video director Indy Hait, the music video for “A Fool’s Parade” captures WITHIN TEMPTATION frontwoman Sharon Den Adel at important Ukrainian landmarks.
In March 2022, WITHIN TEMPTATION joined a telethon concert, “Save Ukraine – #StopWar,” to show solidarity and support for Ukraine. The event, held in Warsaw and broadcasted by Polish TV channel TVP, featured over 50 participants from more than 20 countries. With broadcasters from around the world rebroadcasting the marathon on local channels, the concert aimed to raise awareness and funds for Ukraine during its time of crisis. WITHIN TEMPTATION‘s participation underscored their commitment to using their platform to advocate for peace and support humanitarian causes on a global scale.
