TRIVIUM and BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE are hinting at what seems to be a collaborative tour commemorating their 2005 albums, “Ascendancy” and “The Poison,” respectively
Both bands took to their social media platforms on Tuesday, February 20th, to unveil covers of the albums divided into nine segments.
TRIVIUM‘s sophomore album and debut under Roadrunner Records, “Ascendancy,” was honored as “Album Of The Year” by Kerrang! magazine in Britain. Additionally, it achieved official gold certification in the U.K. for exceeding 100,000 copies sold.
Released in October 2005 in the U.K. via Visible Noise Records and later in the United States through Trustkill Records, “The Poison” stands as BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE‘s most commercially successful endeavor worldwide. It attained gold certification from both the RIAA in the United States and BPI in the United Kingdom, along with a platinum certification from Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI) in Germany.
Back in December, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE frontman Matt Tuck hinted at a tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of “The Poison”, posting to his social media: “We have a massive announcement to make soon that will make 2025 be a very special year for us so stay tuned for that.”
Last November, Heafy made a guest appearance with BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE at Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida, where they performed the Welsh metallers’ iconic track “Tears Don’t Fall” from “The Poison.” Fan-captured footage of his collaboration can be viewed below.
