THE CULT has announced the “8424” European tour celebrating the band’s 40th anniversary
The trek will see the Ian Astbury-fronted outfit perform songs spanning its 11-album discography.
THE CULT guitarist Billy Duffy said: “Following up from the great energy of DEATH CULT ‘8323’ shows, I’m looking forward to bringing that sense of celebration of the band’s music, and the communion with our fans, to CULT ‘8424’. Let the ceremony commence!”

Released in October 2022 under the banner of Black Hill Records, “Under The Midnight Sun” marked the latest offering from THE CULT. Produced by the acclaimed Tom Dalgety, known for his work with renowned acts like PIXIES, GHOST, and ROYAL BLOOD, this LP signifies a significant collaboration for the band. Notably, Dalgety becomes the first British producer to join forces with THE CULT since their seminal second album, “Love,” released back in 1985.
At the heart of THE CULT‘s enduring legacy lies the unyielding partnership between frontman Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy. Often described as the band’s “head and heart,” their dynamic chemistry is a blend of genuine camaraderie and tangible tension.
