The biggest names in Nu-Metal are expected to descend upon Las Vegas next Spring for a newly revealed festival dedicated to the sub-genre
Over a month ago, SYSTEM OF A DOWN singer Serj Tankian spoke with Revolver and revealed the band would be potentially participating in a revisiting of the nü-metal scene of the early 2000s in 2023.
Set to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada in May, the event, called ‘Sick New World‘, will take place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on May 13th, with ticket pre-sales expected to commence this Friday (November 11th).
This is the same venue that hosted the recent inaugural nostalgia based festival, ‘When We Were Young‘ earlier this fall.
No official announcement has been made public as of yet, however numerous bands have shared the teaser for the newly planned festival via their social media pages. Those groups are SYSTEM OF A DOWN, DEFTONES, KORN, INCUBUS, EVANESCENCE and CHEVELLE, who have all hinted at their participation.
