The 19-city run kicks off August 16, 2024 in Concord, California, with special guests OUR LADY PEACE on the first two dates, and the remainder of the tour with SOUL ASYLUM.

The multi-platinum selling bands join forces to celebrate the 30th anniversary of two of the most beloved albums of the 1990s, LIVE‘s “Throwing Copper” and STONE TEMPLE PILOTS‘ “Purple”. Fans of the iconic bands can expect a night of hit songs from those albums and much more, with a full set of music by each group spanning generations.

The release of “Purple” would cement their place as one of the most definitive bands of their generation, debuting No. 1 on the Billboard album chart, releasing the smash singles “Interstate Love Song”“Vasoline” and “Big Empty” on its way to selling more than six million copies.

“Throwing Copper”, the third studio album from LIVE produced by Jerry Harrison of THE TALKING HEADS, set alternative radio on fire with consecutive hit singles, including “Selling The Drama”“I Alone”“All Over You” and the unforgettable radio mainstay “Lightning Crashes”, which was No. 1 at Modern Rock Radio for 10 consecutive weeks. “Throwing Copper” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and went on to sell over 10 million copies.

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS (STP) is an American rock band formed in San Diego, California, in 1989. The group originally consisted of Scott Weiland (vocals), brothers Dean DeLeo (guitar) and Robert DeLeo (bass, backing vocals), and Eric Kretz (drums). Known for their dynamic blend of grunge, alternative rock, and hard rock, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS quickly rose to prominence in the early 1990s.

Their debut album, “Core” (1992), catapulted them into the mainstream with hits like “Plush” and “Creep“, earning critical acclaim and commercial success. Follow-up albums “Purple” (1994) and “Tiny Music… Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop” (1996) further solidified their place in the rock scene, showcasing their diverse musical influences and songwriting prowess.

Despite their musical achievements, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS faced internal struggles, primarily due to frontman Scott Weiland‘s substance abuse issues and conflicts within the band. Weiland‘s erratic behavior led to several hiatuses and lineup changes, including his departure in 2013.

After Weiland‘s departure, the band recruited Chester Bennington of LINKIN PARK as their new lead vocalist for a brief period. However, Bennington left in 2015 to focus on his primary band.

In 2017, STP welcomed Jeff Gutt as their new lead vocalist, releasing their self-titled seventh studio album in 2018. With Gutt, the band continued to tour and record, preserving their legacy while exploring new musical avenues.

Throughout their career, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS has sold millions of albums worldwide, garnered numerous awards, and left an indelible mark on the alternative rock landscape. Despite their ups and downs, their music remains a testament to their enduring influence and legacy in rock music.

LIVE is an American rock band formed in York, Pennsylvania, in 1984. The group consists of Ed Kowalczyk (vocals, guitar), Chad Taylor (lead guitar, backing vocals), Patrick Dahlheimer (bass), and Chad Gracey (drums).

Rising to prominence in the 1990s, LIVE became known for their anthemic rock sound, characterized by Kowalczyk‘s distinctive vocals and introspective lyrics.

Their breakthrough album, “Throwing Copper” (1994), spawned hit singles like “Lightning Crashes” and “I Alone“, propelling them to international fame. LIVE‘s music often explores themes of spirituality, existentialism, and social consciousness. Despite lineup changes and hiatuses, the band continues to tour and release music, maintaining a dedicated fanbase and legacy in alternative rock.
