SLIPKNOT has unveiled a series of dates to commemorate their 25th anniversary, promising an electrifying celebration of their illustrious career
The 11-show tour is set to commence at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on December 5, 2024, culminating in a grand finale at London’s O2 Arena on December 20. The band will traverse stages in The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and France, with the support of BLEED FROM WITHIN. Tickets for this highly anticipated event will be available for purchase starting this Friday at 9 am local time. The full list of dates and a video trailer for the tour can be found below.
The announcement follows the release of a teaser video titled “Here Comes The Pain” over the weekend. Featuring archival footage of SLIPKNOT performing in their original masks, the clip concludes with a snippet of the classic track “(sic),” originally featured on their breakthrough self-titled album in 1999. The video also directs viewers to the website youcantkillme.com, a nostalgic homage to Slipknot’s official site from 1999, complete with a guestbook.
“It has been 25 years since we first played on the continent, and we’ve been back ever since,” says SLIPKNOT co-founder and percussionist Clown. “The memories I have from all those times are life changing, and we’re ready to make more. I’m so excited to bring our 25 year Anniversary tour to Europe and the UK. Be prepared for an energy you’ve never experienced before. It’s happening.”
In addition to the European tour, SLIPKNOT has previously announced three festival shows in the US, including Sick New World in Las Vegas, NV, on April 27, Welcome To Rockville in Daytona Beach, FL, on May 12, and the Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, OH, on May 19. These shows mark SLIPKNOT‘s return to the stage, the first since parting ways with drummer Jay Weinberg last month. While a replacement is yet to be unveiled, the anticipation for these milestone events in Slipknot’s quarter-century legacy is palpable.
