The true identities of SLEEP TOKEN’s members remain a well-guarded secret, leading to a slew of individuals falsely claiming to be part of SLEEP TOKEN
Unsurprisingly, this has understandably irked the genuine members of SLEEP TOKEN, prompting them to release the following statement on their Instagram stories:
“Followers, it has been brought to our attention that a number of unscrupulous individuals have been masquerading as members of the Sleep Token collective, in order to exploit members of our extended community,” wrote the band.
“Let it be known that any unsolicited contact from ANY person claiming to be a member of the collective should be disregarded, and their profile reported to the relevant administration. We thank you for your understanding.”
SLEEP TOKEN, the enigmatic British masked rock collective fronted by their enigmatic leader known as Vessel, has unveiled their highly-anticipated U.S. headline tour for the fall of 2023.
The “Rituals” tour will commence on September 9 in Philadelphia and continue through to October 5, culminating in Anaheim. Alongside this, SLEEP TOKEN is set to make captivating appearances at prominent fall festivals, including the Blue Ridge Rock Festival, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock, with additional festival announcements on the horizon.
Despite the renowned mystery surrounding the band’s members, who have a longstanding tradition of not engaging with the press (a practice rooted in necessity rather than ego or gimmick), the media remains captivated by their every move. NME, for instance, has observed that “SLEEP TOKEN offer their fans an entire world to immerse themselves in if they so wish. It’s a place of escapism, and the foundation of a huge fan community that’s dedicated to studying the band’s creativity. While they have the same fervor as any other fandom, there’s still a notable difference,” while Metal Hammer called them “the most exciting band in metal right now.”
