Lifeson joined TOOL for a jam session on the song “Jambi,” delivering the expected progressive metal brilliance. The RUSH guitarist’s return to the live stage was also a delightful sight for fans of the iconic band.
In the spring of next year, TOOL will mark its highly awaited return to Europe with a month-long trek in 2024. The tour includes performances at renowned venues such as London’s O2 Arena, Stockholm’s Tele2 Arena, and Paris’s Accor Arena, along with appearances at Graspop Metal Meeting, Tons Of Rock, and Copenhell.
The announcement of TOOL‘s European tour comes amid a bustling period for the Los Angeles-based band. The band are wrapping this North American leg of the tour tonight with a second show in Toronto, before picking up again early next year.
Over the past few months, TOOL has headlined major festivals like Aftershock, Welcome To Rockville, Louder Than Life, and the Sonic Temple Arts & Music festivals. Their unique performance at Power Trip was described by Metal Hammer as “a mind-melting, triumphant showcase of just how singular their art is, a transcendental experience that surpasses genre boundaries.”
