STRYPER frontman Michael Sweet has shared a small clip of another song that will appear on the band’s forthcoming studio album.
Sweet posted to his Instagram on Monday (May 2) to reveal a 43-second video from the studio, which included the message: “When we were growing up, I’d go from a BOSTON album to a @judaspriest album to a @journeymusicofficial album, to you name it.
“I’m a metalhead but I’m also a balladeer. And I’m not ashamed of that. I love a good ballad every now and then.
“This is a small piece of a new @Stryper ballad called ‘Near’. There’s no syrup on top, only powered (or power) sugar;-)
“Hear the whole song on the new STRYPER album coming this fall. For now, here’s a little taste.
“We’re bringing back the power ballad with this one”.
STRYPER’s follow-up to 2020’s “Even The Devil Believes” album was once again recorded at SpiritHouse Recording Studios in Northampton, Massachusetts.
