METALLICA‘s “Master of Puppets” has seen a massive rise in popularity amidst it being featured in the season finale of ‘Stranger Things‘ season 4.
Due to the appearance of the METALLICA classic in the Netflix series, the band is seeing a significant rise in “fans” as Spotify features the song on it’s list of Top 50 Tracks for the United States this week.
Amidst it’s regained popularity, the heavy metal gatekeepers seem to be also be popping up to slam the newcomers and casual listeners.
METALLICA though, who have been very active on social media as of late, commenting on Instagram that “Stranger Things has always been next level, so we were beyond psyched for them to not only include ‘Master of Puppets‘ in the show, but to have such a pivotal scene built around it. We were all stoked to see the final result and when we did we were totally blown away… it’s so extremely well done.”
On TikTok however, METALLICA had something to say to said gatekeepers of the “sacred heavy metal” which you can see below.
Also, not sure how somebody can be a “fake fan”. If you dig the way a certain piece of music sounds and you like the way it makes you feel, fuck the haters.
