LINKIN PARK’s Mike Shinoda has dropped the new single titled “Already Over”

Alongside the release, a visualizer video for the track directed by Dusty Deen is now available below.

In other updates, Shinoda has curated a second music pack for the popular VR game ‘Beat Saber.‘ This pack includes songs not only from LINKIN PARK but also from Shinoda‘s solo endeavors and his FORT MINOR project.

Shinoda says: “I’m beyond excited to once again be partnering with Beat Saber to give fans and players even more music by me, Linkin Park, and Fort Minor, and I’m especially excited to share my new single ‘Already Over’ through the platform. It’s an honor that Linkin Park is the first band to have a second music pack and I hope everyone enjoys playing the new tracks.”

The new song is among the tracks featured in that pack, which include:

Mike Shinoda – “Already Over
LINKIN PARK – “Crawling
LINKIN PARK – “Fighting Myself
Mike Shinoda & Kaliee Morgue – “In My Head
LINKIN PARK – “Lost
LINKIN PARK – “More The Victim
Jay-Z & LINKIN PARK – “Numb/Encore
Fort Minor – “Remember The Name” (feat. Styles of Beyond)

LINKIN PARK has been on hiatus since the death of Bennington in 2017.

Last April, Shinoda confirmed that there are no plans for new music, albums or live shows from the group.

Shinoda, who was appointed Community Innovation Advisor of Warner Recorded Music (WRM), addressed the band‘s future during a Twitch livestream, saying: “The only news I have for you is that… Yeah, we talk every few weeks — I talk to the guys, or some of the guys,” he said. “And there’s no tours, there’s no music, there’s no albums in the pipeline. Okay, so let me just tell you that. So just keep in your minds that that is not happening.

“I’m just gonna say that much for now,” he continued. “I say that because anytime the band says anything or does anything, everyone tries to start up the hype train, and we’re, like, ‘No, no, no, no. Don’t start up the hype train.’ You’re gonna disappoint yourself. Don’t do that.”

Mike Shinoda is an American musician, songwriter, rapper, and producer. He was born on February 11, 1977, in Agoura Hills, California, USA.

Shinoda‘s passion for music began at an early age, and he learned to play the piano, guitar, and drums. He attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, where he met future bandmate Brad Delson. Together, they formed the band XERO, which later evolved into LINKIN PARK.

In 2000, the band released their groundbreaking debut album, “Hybrid Theory,” which catapulted them to international fame. Mike Shinoda played a crucial role in the band as the rapper, lyricist, and one of the primary songwriters. The album featured hit songs like “In the End” and “Crawling,” earning the group a massive fanbase.

Over the years, Shinoda‘s creative versatility became evident as he contributed to the band’s evolution, incorporating elements of hip-hop, electronic music, and rock into their sound. He released several successful albums with the group, including “Meteora,” “Minutes to Midnight,” “A Thousand Suns,” and more.

In addition to that, Shinoda explored his solo career. He released the album “Post Traumatic” in 2018, which served as a personal and emotional response to the passing of his bandmate and close friend, Chester Bennington. The album featured tracks that delved into themes of grief, healing, and self-discovery.

Shinoda‘s impact on the music industry extends beyond his own projects. He has collaborated with various artists, produced music, and even designed album artwork. His innovative approach to music and his dedication to exploring new sounds have solidified his position as a respected figure in the world of rock and hip-hop.

Throughout his career, Mike has shown remarkable resilience and adaptability as an artist, continuing to create music that resonates with audiences worldwide.
