LIL NAS X recently gave an interview where he was sporting the t-shirt of Chicago Deathgrind band HATEMONGER.
The rapper/singer sported the brutal swag, sleeveless, during a talk he gave this past weekend at the Audacy Beach Festival.
LIL NAS X has integrated metal and heavy music themes into his work before, sampling NINE INCH NAILS for his breakout hit “Old Town Road” and endorsing metal mashups of his tracks.
The guys over at MetalSucks reached out to HATEMONGER, who said they had heard about LIL NAS X sporting the shirt but have no idea how he got the shirt as he hasn’t been in contact with them in any way.
Perhaps he found it in a thrift store and thought it simply looked badass or would cause some level of controversy.
Or at least have a couple websites write about it.
