Following the resounding success of their latest album, “Six,” the multi-platinum hard rock sensation EXTREME is back with a compelling new music video for their single, “Hurricane”
This track showcases EXTREME‘s signature vocal interplay, harmoniously weaving the voices of Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt, creating a melodious tapestry that reflects the idea of confronting life’s storms before finding tranquility.
Inspired by the loss of a close friend, Nuno‘s songwriting on “Hurricane” is a deeply personal reflection of his own experiences. Directed by Bettencourt himself, the music video features all four band members, including drummer Kevin Figueiredo and bassist Pat Badger, individually confronting their personal losses. As the video unfolds, these intimate and challenging moments eventually lead to a shared strength, symbolizing the power to persevere together.
“We get crushed by losing someone,” he notes. “Time passes and we calm down, but the pain never goes away.”

“Six” was released on June 9 through earMUSIC, making a significant impact by debuting at No. 10 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart with impressive first-week sales of 12,500 copies. This album marked EXTREME‘s first studio release since 2008. Their previous entry into the Top 10 was with “III Sides To Every Story,” which debuted and peaked at No. 10 in October 1992.
The album’s lead single, “Rise,” also made waves with a fiery music video, accumulating over three and a half million views since its debut in March. The song received widespread acclaim from renowned media outlets, including Consequence, Classic Rock, Music Radar, and Guitar World, and reached No. 3 on the classic rock charts. It even garnered praise from musical legends like Brian May (QUEEN) and radio personality Howard Stern.
EXTREME is currently on their “Thicker Than Blood” world tour, which extends until December 16. The tour encompasses performances across the United States, Australia, Japan, and Europe, featuring special guests LIVING COLOUR (U.S., Australia, and U.K. only) and THE LAST INTERNATIONALE (Europe only).
